According to Variety, Michael Moore is making a sequel to his scathing documentary Fahrenheit 9/11, which critiqued George W. Bush’s war on terrorism.

Fahrenheit 9/11 earned over $119 million at the U.S. box office, making it the highest-grossing documentary of all time. Moore will capitalize upon that film’s success and upon the plummeting popularity of the current president in Fahrenheit 9/11’s sequel, which will pick up where the first film left off.

Paramount Vantage and Overture Films will co-produce and co-finance the film. At the moment, the picture remains untitled although Moore has begun production and plans to release it at or before next year’s Cannes Film Festival.
